I am creating an energy field for storytelling. I am creating an energy field for storytelling Aligning my central channel, taking a deep breath in Closing any back doors, side doors, hidden secret doors. I'm inviting in the listeners who are here to resonate with the stories I have to share today. I'm asking that my source, connection to all that is bring through the words, the stories and the wisdom to support this group field, inner consciousness awakening. Ah, what a delicious cup of tea. Every morning I drink either green tea or black tea with cacao and other things. This morning I've got a green tea with local honey in it. I can see a spring in your step. Today I see flowers in the room. I think today we're going to talk about flower essences and the power of flowers. Flower power Any hippies in the room? I can see those of you who grew up in the 60s Bell bottoms, peace sign, leather frilled vest, no shirt underneath, of course. Flower power let's see introduced to flower essences through a really strange avenue in Denver, colorado, in about 2014.

Speaker 1:

I opened up a five element theory acupressure practice in a very unusual building in downtown Denver that was the home to a business called Fia Alchemy. The owner had this incredible journey through her experience of using flower essences in a concentrated essential oil form, combined in proportions of sacred geometry in order to enhance her sport performance as an Olympic skier, and we became good friends and she taught me a little bit about what she was up to in her lab and these products that she made. And she actually had a tiny room in the back of this gorgeous building that was home to hundreds of tiny little vials of concentrated essences that she would combine specifically for individuals to help them harmonize their energy bodies. And ever since then I remembered the curious affinity that I have for flowers. I remembered the curious affinity that I have for flowers. Later in my years in practice, I learned about the Bach flower essences. I thought it was pronounced Bach, but it's actually Bach B-A-C-H and the basis of these flower essences is that you take thousands of petals of a flower and soak them in water in the sunshine and you distill them into a concentrated flower essence solution and then you combine it with typically brandy or a little bit of some kind of alcohol or glycerin to preserve it for a period of time, depending on what you combine it with, and you put a few drops of flower essence solution into your water or under your tongue several times a day. And these flower essences work primarily on the psycho-spiritual aspects, the emotions. But more than just the emotions, they each have their own story of a constellation of emotional patterns.

Speaker 1:

I think I'm going to grab my batch flower book and give you an example of this. All right, I grabbed my book. This is called the Encyclopedia of Batch Flower Therapy by Mechtild Scheffer. I apologize if I botched that name pronunciation, but I'm just going to open the book to whatever flower is going to support some people, at least in this audience today, maybe a few of you See, if you resonate with this, I'm just going to tune into you.

Speaker 1:

So the flower I came across is called Genshin, the bully flower from doubt to trust For those who are easily discouraged. They may be progressing well in illness or in the affairs of their daily life, but any small delay or hindrance to progress causes doubt and soon disheartens them. And then there's like a two-page summary of all these different things that could have happened in childhood or adulthood and different ways of feeling and circumstantial things. But I'm going to skip to the end, where it says the key symptoms and the behavior patterns when someone is in a block state. So the key symptoms for gentian are you're easily discouraged, skeptical, doubting and pessimistic, and the behavior pattern in the blocked state is even small setbacks have a devastating effect. You're easily discouraged and simply give up when you meet unexpected difficulties. Disappointments cause feelings of dejection and depression. You react quickly with skepticism so you won't be disappointed later. Even in a situation where things turn out all right, you imagine what could have gone wrong. You don't understand that the reason for some misfortunes may be your own lack of confidence, and so on and so forth. So the positive potential of taking this flower essence is that you understand that resistance and setbacks are learning steps and you make new attempts with confidence. You have unshakable faith despite difficult circumstances, and you know that everything will happen as it's meant to be. You know that there are solutions for all problems and you're able to encourage and build confidence in other people. The empowering flower power statements are I am confident, I expect the positive, I know everything works out right. So, yeah, flower power.

Speaker 1:

They have such a high frequency flowers. I think it's one of the best ways of lifting the energy of the space or lifting your mood. It's just going out getting some flowers or picking some flowers and making a little bouquet in your kitchen or in your bedroom. They have an extremely high frequency, especially the rose, the queen of the flower kingdom. When I tune into the rose energy, I like to imagine myself actually sitting inside of a rose, and sometimes the bud is closed and sometimes it's wide open and I'm just bathing in it. There are many schools of energy alchemy and some mystery schools that use the frequency of the rose to alchemize and transmute energies to support clearing negative frequencies or dissolving negative thought forms or intentions.

Speaker 1:

In different traditions, colors of roses mean different things. There's a song in Ukrainian about roses that talks about the colors and the meanings of the colors of roses. So that's my reference point for what they mean, because I grew up with that culture, and in the song it states that the pink rose is for friendship, the red rose is for love, the yellow rose is for divorce and the white rose is for grieving. I don't know how I feel about the yellow rose being for divorce, because I love yellow. I think more about Our Lady Guadalupe and her bouquet of yellow roses. To me, yellow roses feels more like joy and uplifting.

Speaker 1:

Do you have any associations with roses or different flowers in your life that mean things for you. Do you have a favorite flower? I'm seeing sunflowers, bluebells, lilies, orchids, the rose. Some of you are more into succulents than you are flowers. Maybe it depends on where you live, your climate. Succulents love to grow in arid, desert-like climates, but of course we have them all over the place. I love succulents, especially when you put them in like a glass jar or like a little succulent village inside of a pot. Whatever you call that. That's the best. Succulents are very social plants. They like to be in community. If you were a plant or if you were a flower, what kind of flower would you be? What about your beloveds, your family members? What kind of flowers would they be?

Speaker 1:

After listening to this episode, I'm going to give you the flower power challenge. To give you the flower power challenge In the next so many days, or maybe a week, if you could give flowers to someone you love. You can pick them outside, you can buy them at the grocery store, the flower shop, doesn't matter. Just share some kind of flower or flowers or a plant with someone you really care about. That is my challenge to you this week, and with that I'm going to close this field. I'm giving each of you a rose with whatever color suits you, with whatever color uplifts your mood and supports you this week, and I thank you for tuning in. Till next time, thank you.
